Students learn to care for the health of any type of anumal and understand the scop of services offered by animal care services, including vetenary practices. This course is appropriate for anyone working with animals including on a farm, a wildlife park or a vetenary practice. It is a sound foundation course and has been designed to help students understand animal health care and basic vetenary practices.

Students are required to keep a portfolio of tasks undertaken but the principal aim of the course is to gain practical experience and to be equipped for further learning and employment.

Environmental Conservation

This course gives a foundation in environmental conservation. Students learn about maintaining a conservation area and help to promote the habitat for the species who live there.

Students are required to keep a portfolio of tasks undertaken but the principal aim of the course is to gain practical experience and to be equipped for further learning and employment.

The aim of this course is to provide students with a general knowledge in looking after horses. Subjects covered include health and safety, feeding, accommodation, handling and restraining, preparation for exercise and aftercare and the health of a horse.

Students are required to keep a portfolio of tasks undertaken but the principal aim of the course is to gain practical experience and to be equipped for further learning and employment.

Construction Skills

The aim of this course is to provide students with a general knowledge of bricklaying and general building work including health and safety.
