Meet the Team

Stuart Renfree - Managing Director

Stuart set up SR Training at Bush Farm in 2004. Prior to that he was a freelance Instructor working with accrediting bodies such as Lantra, CITB, AITT, NPORS City & Guilds and EASI. He has been involved with the delivery of quality training for over 20 years and is also a Technical Standards Verifier. As an NVQ Assessor for various subjects Stuart sets course content and trains new Instructors and regularly gives presentations for HSE. When not training he enjoys competitive 4x4 off-roading competitions around the county.

Suzy Renfree - Finance Director

Suzy joined the team in 2006 having followed a career in Accounting. Suzy oversees operations, focusing on course development, fundraising and the financial aspects of SR Training.

Having achieved the ISO 9001 Standard in 2013, Suzy is part of the Quality Assurance team and internal auditor. The high standards demanded of our training are followed through to our administration functions ensuring that all of our clients’ needs are met quickly and efficiently.

Kim Crocker - Head of Admin

Kim joined the team in 2011 and now runs the administration at SR Training. She is co-ordinator for all our students, from transportation logistics and administration, to helping students with issues and providing pastoral care.

Kim possesses a wide rage of administrative and clerical skills and has experience in dealing with young people.  She is responsible for managing all aspects of the office function.

Dan O'Brien - Instructor/Assessor & Site Co-ordinator

Dan is a qualified AITT instructor and City & Guilds Assessor, competent to instruct a wide range of courses such as Counterbalance Forklift, 360 Excavator, Ride on Mowers/Pedestrian Mowers, Telescopic Forklift, Reach Truck, Forward Tipping Dumper and more.  

Daniel has worked in the construction industry for many years and joined our team in 1999.  Dan co-ordinates the site training activities to ensure site users' needs are catered for.

Hayley Crocker - Instructor/Assessor

Hayley joined the team in 2012 and has trained as a City & Guilds Instructor/Assessor.  She is in charge of the Equine sector and the small animal care unit.  Having been around horses and other animals all her life she has a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on to our young people.

Hayley is also a top Arab producer and has competed at the highest level around the country.

Andy Butcher - Instructor/Assessor

Andy joined the team in 2012 as a City & Guilds Instructor/Assessor.  He specialises in Vehicle and their maintenance.  Andy is also a qualified Motorbike instructor with many years experience in the field.

Having worked with young people in conservation in the past Andy has a wealth of experience to offer at SR Training.

Matt Nicholson - Site Technician

Matt joined the team in 2014 having been a student hear for two years completing his City & Guilds SKills for Working Life E3 and Land Based Studies Level 1.  Matt is site technician and also provides one to one mentoring to new students as required.

Karen Comber - Marketing Manager

Karen joined the team in 2014 and as well as managing the commercial courses for SR Training Commercial Ltd, she provides a valuable Marketing function for us.  She has launcehed a facebook page and is in charge of keeping the websites up to date with lastest news and activities.

Tony Laurillard - Internal Verifier & Auditor

Tony spent a career at sea, the last 27 years as a Captain in command, manoeuvering tankers between 5000 and 50,000 tonnes.  Since 2009 Tony worked with SR Training as a qualified NPORS Instructor running courses such as Counterbalance forklift, Telescopic forklift, Reach truck, Electric Pallet Stacker and much more.

In 2013 Tony took a steep back from training but continues to be our Internal Verifier for our City & Guilds courses and is one of the Quality Assurance Auditors for ISO 9001 Standard.
